Sanya Reservoir Masterplan is a masterplan in Sanya, China developed by Archidom Studio, the architecture and urban design studio based in Marbella and Madrid. The studio’s scope covers masterplan and urban planning.
Sanya Reservoir is a masterplan by Archidom Studio in Sanya, on the Chinese island of Hainan, organised around a large reservoir.
The project images show a landscape of water, green islands and peninsulas, with buildings set among the planting and along the shorelines, and terraced farmland preserved as part of the whole.
In the public areas, large planted canopies shade pedestrian promenades lined with buildings wrapped in vertical gardens, with nature as the thread running through the entire development. An Archidom Studio project in China.
The project data record private development. In its masterplans, the studio arranges buildings, public space and landscape as a single system, taking the natural setting as the starting point.
