The project

Villa Sombra is a luxury villa in Benahavís, Málaga designed by Archidom Studio, the architecture studio based in Marbella and Madrid. The studio’s scope covers architecture, interior design and site supervision.

The volumes of the homes draw on the yin-yang concept, sculptural and reminiscent of the art of Jorge Oteiza, with a composition of cubic volumes that generates complex interstitial spaces.

The entrance becomes a singular experience through a play of thresholds, reflections and sheets of water. Materials such as mortar, timber lattices and mirrored surfaces blend Mediterranean character with African and South American influences.

Architecture, interior design and landscaping merge seamlessly into a singular, timeless result. An Archidom Studio project in Benahavís.

Architecture and interiors

The project data record a plot of 2,180 m², a built area of 1,074 m² and private development. As in all of the studio’s residential work, architecture and interiors are considered together from the first sketch: placement on the plot, views, privacy, light and materials are resolved as a single project.

In Benahavís, the studio has also designed Villa A18 and Villa Alcuzcuz. Browse all the studio’s projects.
