Momento is a nightclub in Marbella, Málaga designed by Archidom Studio, the architecture and interior design studio based in Marbella and Madrid. The studio’s scope covers architecture, commercial design and interior design.
The project is divided into three areas with clearly distinct atmospheres: the club room with more than 400 m² of dance floor, the terrace and the outdoor restaurant.
The existing building is concealed behind a metal skin of 150×70 cm panels, 5 mm thick, that wraps the entrance and forms the entry canopy. Its perforations, circles, ellipses and ovals, let the interior light escape, and its texture recalls the nuances of La Concha. A distinctive building by day and an emblematic one by night.
Archidom always introduces elements that give a venue an exclusive, iconic character. Here we invented the “umbrellas”, decorative pieces that organise the spaces and connect inside and outside fluidly. An Archidom Studio project in Marbella.
The project data record a site of 1,778 m², a built area of 631 m² and private development. In hospitality and commercial projects, the studio works on the identity of the place and its daily operation at the same time: circulation, service areas, lighting and materials are part of the same design decision.
