61 is a restaurant in Madrid, Spain designed by Archidom Studio, the architecture and interior design studio based in Marbella and Madrid. The studio’s scope covers interior design.
Between the sacred and the profane
61 was born from the idea of turning a nightlife venue into the intimate universe of an artist: a place where architecture, art and mystery intertwine to create an experience that goes beyond the conventional.
Inspired by the grandeur of Europe’s historic palaces, the project reinterprets their classical codes through a contemporary, theatrical and subtly mystical lens. Ornamental mouldings, sculptural details, noble materials and evocative lighting build an atmosphere in which the real and the imagined seem to coexist.
Each room is a chapter within this creative universe. The main lounge becomes the artist’s great studio, a space where artworks, singular objects and palatial architecture converse with one another.
On the upper floor, the private dining room offers a more intimate, almost ceremonial experience, while the entrance acts as the first threshold into this world of art and symbolism.
The interior design plays with layered eras, the beauty of imperfection and a certain romantic decadence that lends depth and personality to the whole.
Yet the true mystery of 61 lies beyond what can be seen.
A secret door leads to its most unexpected dimension: a hidden space where the artist’s spirit breaks free of every rule.
The solemnity of the palace gives way to a nocturnal, sensual and transgressive atmosphere. Art takes on a new intensity, the lighting becomes more dramatic and the music turns the space into a stage for freedom and celebration.
It is the artist’s most rebellious side, a universe reserved for those who dare to discover it.
61 explores the duality between elegance and excess, order and chaos, the classical and the irreverent.
Architecture becomes scenography, and every space invites guests to discover a new facet of this imaginary palace.
A place where art is almost a religion, mystery is part of the experience and the night becomes the final act of creation.
The project data record private development and completion in 2024. In hospitality and commercial projects, the studio works on the identity of the place and its daily operation at the same time: circulation, service areas, lighting and materials are part of the same design decision.
In Spain, the studio has also designed Bro Club. Browse all the studio’s projects.
