The I/O is a luxury gym in San Pedro de Alcántara, Marbella designed by Archidom Studio, the architecture and interior design studio based in Marbella and Madrid. The studio’s scope covers architecture, commercial design and interior design.
The I/O Club was created to reinterpret Mediterranean style within a contemporary, innovative gym concept, organised in two areas that make the most of its beachfront location.
The outdoor gym encourages training in the open air, taking advantage of Marbella’s exceptional climate. Lush planting creates the feeling of a natural oasis, while a palette of sand tones evokes the nearby sea.
Inside, a central space organises the whole and leads to the specialised areas. Some rooms feature atmospheres designed to heighten motivation and convey luxury, where lighting, wood and refined finishes take the lead. An Archidom Studio project.
The project data record a plot of 1,670 m² and private development. In hospitality and commercial projects, the studio works on the identity of the place and its daily operation at the same time: circulation, service areas, lighting and materials are part of the same design decision.
